The gloss compensation option allows to arrive at a better visual  agreement between a standard and a match, when both have different gloss levels.

Of course, the price of a recipe is of great importance to the user. ColorECSpert helps to reduce the price in different ways.
  • During pigment selection, the price of the pigments will be taken into account.
  • The necessary pigment loading required for a give match (opacity) can be calculated  very accurately, so that pigment overloading will be avoided.
  • If several bases are available (e.g. paint systems), a combination of 2 bases can be calculated (generally a quantity of a more transparent base can be used), resulting in a lower cost.
  • ColorECSpert is using unique algorithms for the reuse of waste materials. Very high amounts of waste material will be used in new recipes, resulting in a significant decrease of the amount of waste to be stored, and in a significant decrease of the price of the new recipes.

Its unique expert matching algorithm results in high quality first matches. The accuracy of the matching is the same for transparent, translucent and opaque colors, as well as for light, dark and saturated colors. In order to adequately calculate a recipe that matches a standard, both in color and opacity, ColorECSpert has the capability of simultaneously calculating a recipe for both reflectance and transmittance.
Wide Variety of Applications, with limited Number of Databases:

There is no need to prepare a separate database for each application.
For example:
  • different substrates can be handled with the same database.
  • metallic substrates can be handled with a database prepared on paper, without any additional work.
  • in plastic applications, different resins can be handled with one database.
  • one database can be used to calculate recipes at different print viscosities.
